Therapy Perspective
When Life Changes, You May Feel Like You’ve Lost Your Center
Maybe you’ve been through a major life change and, somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like yourself.
Perhaps a relationship ended, your family dynamic changed, you became a parent, your children grew up and left home, you changed careers, unexpected financial wealth, experienced a loss, moved to a new place, or simply reached a point in life where the person you once were no longer feels like who you are today.
You may be functioning on the outside, but internally, things feel different. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, anxious, or simply…off balance. You may find yourself asking:
Who am I now? Where do I go from here? What do I want? And how do I feel like myself again?
These moments can be difficult, but they can also be opportunities to pause, reconnect, and rediscover yourself.
Your Life Is a Mosaic
I think of our lives as a mosaic. Each piece represents something that has shaped us—our relationships, experiences, losses, challenges, successes, identities, dreams, and the many versions of ourselves we've been throughout our lives.
Sometimes, a major transition can feel like the mosaic has been shaken apart. Pieces that once seemed to fit may no longer make sense. Other pieces may feel broken, unfamiliar, or difficult to understand.
Therapy can provide a space to slow down and explore those pieces without judgment.
My passion is helping people make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and find a new sense of balance and direction. We can explore what has changed, what you may have lost, what you have gained, and what you want your life to look like moving forward.
The goal isn't to put you back together exactly as you were before. You don't need to go backward. Instead, we can work together to create a new sense of self—one that honors where you've been while making space for where you're going.
Finding Your Way Back to Yourself
I have been practicing since 2007 and currently work with adults in all life stages navigating significant transitions and life challenges. My approach is grounded in a Humanistic perspective, which means I believe you have the capacity for growth, change, and creating a life that feels meaningful to you.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey. You don't have to arrive with everything figured out. You don't have to know exactly what you need. And you don't have to have the “right” words for what you're experiencing.
My role is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can pause, breathe, reflect, and begin to understand what is happening within you.
Together, we can work toward rebalancing, recentering, and reconnecting with the person you are becoming.
Your life may look different than you imagined. Your mosaic may not look the way it once did. But the pieces of your life—including the imperfect and difficult ones—can become part of something meaningful and uniquely yours.
You are not broken. You may simply be in the process of becoming someone new.
If you're ready to take a step forward, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you discover the beautiful mosaic of YOU.
